Shiny! Check out this striped cardigan with sequins from Loft. I promise it’s cuter in real life. I know this because I own it. And I don’t wear it with a baggy shirt tucked into granny slacks. Just saying.
However, I have yet to figure out how to wash a sequined cardigan.
It’s about time for my first “I’m feeling guilty for not blogging” post. Well, I’ll postpone it because it’s also about time for a top-of-mind post!
I tried on this adorable puff-sleeve empire cut t-shirt at Zara in Chania, Greece. There was something about the cut and the gathering on the empire waist that I just loved. However, it felt a little short so I passed it up. I’ve been regretting that decision since, especially since it was only 13 euros! What was Brittany thinking? Ugh.
Now to get those trip photos organized!
Who wouldn’t want a tuxedo shirt boasting stripes AND ruffles? The stripe confetti ruffle shirt from J.Crew feels like a whimsical version of their classic dock-stripe perfect shirt. The perfect shirt has been my favorite go-to shirt for about the past five years and they are surprisingly durable!
I would wear the ruffle shirt with black suit pants to work and, of course, pair it with navy linen shorts for the final weekend of summer.
I’m quite impressed with Gap’s return to the basics, or at least some of the basics. For awhile there, Gap was trying to be “all hip, all the time,” but I finally feel like I can rely on them for classic items again.
If bringing back jeans that fit was the first step, then clothing you can wear to work was the second!
Do I need another cardigan?* Of course! I’m loving the color of this cardigan from Banana. And I think I must have a thing for purple right now since one of my last “Top-of-mind” posts was for this purple cami from J.Crew.
Super cute details… I love the pocket and the beading on the placket. Now if only I could pull off the chunky jewelry and a fedora look without looking like a hobo.
*Comma Mister thinks I need to visit cardigan rehab.
